Salt Cave & Halotherapy in Mountain Green, Utah
Sit back, breathe, and let the day go quiet. The salt cave at Salted Wellness Mountain Green is a calm, softly lit room lined with Himalayan salt, where you relax while fine salt particles drift through the air. It’s called halotherapy, or salt therapy. It’s one of the easiest things you’ll do all week, and it’s just up Weber Canyon from Ogden, Layton, and Davis County.

What is a salt cave (halotherapy)?
A salt cave, also called a salt room or halotherapy room, is a quiet space for salt therapy. Ours is all Himalayan salt. During your session, fine, dry salt particles are dispersed into the air while you relax and breathe normally. The idea goes back to the 1800s, when salt mines in Eastern Europe became places people went to breathe and rest.
Utah’s air can be hard on you. Dry winters, inversion season, pollen, dust, and late-summer wildfire smoke all take a toll. Many guests find that time in the salt cave helps them breathe easier and relax, especially when they come back regularly.
What a session is like
Arrive 10 minutes early to check in and settle in.
Breathe and relax for 50 minutes. You don’t need to do anything special. Some people meditate, some close their eyes and rest.
What you might notice. A faint salty taste or a light tickle in your throat is normal.
Afterward. Drink some water.
What to wear: comfortable, loose clothing. Please skip perfume, cologne, and scented lotions.
Classes in the salt cave
The cave also hosts guided classes: SALTED Yin Yoga and Sound Meditation, both held right in the salt cave.
Kids’ Cave
Kids can enjoy the salt cave too. Kids’ Cave sessions require an accompanying adult. A Kids’ Cave session is a $33 drop-in, and it’s included with any credit pack or membership.
Who it’s for

Pair it with infrared sauna and red light therapy
Salted puts the salt cave, infrared sauna (a 1-person and a 2-person room), red light therapy, reformer Pilates, yoga, and sound meditation under one roof, with one membership. One credit equals one class or service, so it’s easy to build a recovery visit:
Salt cave + infrared sauna: breathe and unwind, then warm up.
Salt cave + red light therapy: a calm pairing for recovery days.
Reformer Pilates, then salt cave: move first, then rest.
