Our Story
Kelly and Laura met a few years ago, when we were each coming out of a season of life that was anything but easy. We became adventure and travel buddies, and enjoyed spending time together whenever we could. Kelly and Laura found instant connection in the work we were each doing to heal and come back to center.
As our friendship grew, we realized that we had a shared belief that true healing starts when we slow down, reconnect, and come home to ourselves.
We were passionate about sharing the practices that had helped us — intentional movement, sound, stillness, breath, and connection. Kelly and Laura hosted various women’s retreats to create an environment that allowed others to experience the benefits that these practices yielded. Time after time, the feedback was the same. Women reported feeling happier, healthier, and more settled after a week or weekend together. But our favorite part? Women also reported that the new friendships that had formed, and the deep sense of community they had cultivated meant everything to them. Bringing people together in this way was profoundly fulfilling for us.
Eventually, this passion turned into an idea. What if we created a space that brought all of our favorite wellness modalities together under one roof? The kind of place we wished had existed when we needed it most? And what if it wasn’t only for a weekend retreat, but instead, a place that our community could enjoy and truly rely on day after day?
The idea was a powerful one, but we did not take this decision lightly! We really valued each other’s friendship, and knew that going into business with friends could be tricky. At one point, we even decided that our friendship was too important and agreed that we should drop the idea altogether.
But the idea persisted.
Soon, even the husbands had caught the bug, and all four of us felt a deep call to make this wellness center a reality. We knew how much these methods had improved our lives, and we felt excited about making them accessible to others.
A few months later, we decided to go for it, and we began building that dream in Queen Creek, Arizona. But as the vision grew, something unexpected happened. Justin and Kelly felt a strong pull to bring this same healing space to their home turf in Morgan County. They were both born and raised in Morgan, and they’re currently raising their own family there, and it’s a community they love with their whole hearts. Within days of even considering the decision to expand, everything aligned. The right space. The right landlord. The right timing. So, Salted Mountain Green became part of the vision.
The development of these community centers has been a labor of love for well over a year at this point, and during that time, we have only grown more grateful and excited to take part in creating these special spaces. We can’t wait to welcome you in.
One vision. Two communities.
And so much gratitude for the experiences that have brought us here.
